It was written …
It was written between 1925 and 1930 by Ray Henderson, Buddy DeSylva and Lew Brown. They wrote a lot of the “novelty tunes” that came out of the Roaring Twenties like, “Five Foot Two, Eyes of Blue,” “Bye, Bye, Blackbird,” and “You’re the Cream in My Coffee.”
Ray Henderson wrote the music, Brown and DeSylva wrote lyrics.

Who wrote this song …
Who wrote this song? I have a version of the folk group Small Potatoes playing it, and until now I thought it was an original. If anyone knows the composer/lyricist, I would be grateful.

This is a record to play for someone, who wants to know what jazz is.
