Why does my housing need to know if I recieved college grants?

I live in a projects type apartment and since i am an adult i need to go with my parents for some annual check up thing (not quite sure what it is) can i just say i’m not going to college? i didn’t apply for any. i don’t really want to go through with any of the hassle.

They might have rights to tax deductions if they are housing someone that has government loans, grants etc. Just be honest if they ask you, it is always best. They might just need to know for survey reasons. They want to know how many people are trying to better their life through education in the apartment complex. That’s all I got for you.

well, if you are receving some type of financial aid and are not reporting it to them…..it could be a problem. But hey, go ahead and say that you aren’t receiving it. Just report back if they eventually find out you have lied.
